Rams over Rumson

A RAM fan comments on the Rumson- Fair Haven game on February 5th:

With just over six minutes left in the third period, the RAMS #15 Chris Civetta scored the only goal of a hard fought 1-0 victory over #16 Rumson – Fair Haven at Aspen last night. #6 Ray McNamara and #19 Luke Spagnuolo assisted on the goal.

The teams were very evenly matched through the first two periods demonstrated by the shots on goal at 18 for the RAMS and 16 for RFH, but Randolph applied the heat and out shot Rumson 15 to 9 in the third.

After Chris’s goal, Rumson picked up the attack, highlighted by a breakaway by #20 Brett Pritchard of Rumson with 22 seconds left in the game. Gavin Einfeldt stopped the shot but had to fight through the scramble at net to hold on for Randolph’s sixth shutout of the season.

Note 1: Rumson – Fair Haven (11-2-2) lost only one other game all season and this is the only game that they went scoreless.
Note 2: RFH has two players named Spagnuolo: Wow!
