Mennen Division of Morris County Standings:

It is obvious that this season will be the next “Miracle On Ice”. This season the miracle will be just getting to skate.

The record for the Rams on the 27 th of January last year was 12 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses (that‘s 18 games). So, this season will not be measured by your wins and losses but by your patience, your intelligence and your love of the game. Why intelligence? Because it will take intelligence to see that what is happening this year has nothing to do with ice hockey, but with the well-being of all of us.

Yesterday, several high school ice hockey games were cancelled in New Jersey and the stories of sporting events and athletes being affected by the pandemic are rampant.

As of now, the Rams are scheduled to skate at Mennen Arena as the guest of Chatham High School on Saturday 1/30/2021 at 6:15pm.

Chatham has played 3 games defeating Kinnelon 6 to 2, then losing to Delbarton 0 to 3, and upsetting Morris Knolls 2 to 1 on the 22nd of this month. Morris Knolls has won the Public A State Championship the last two seasons and were ranked 15 th in the state by NJ.com at the start of this season, so Chatham‘s win over MK is big. And even more important, Morris Knolls kicked off their season with a 4 to 2 win over

Public C State Champions Summit High School on January 18th. Summit was 9 th in the state preseason rankings.

This will be Rams’ coach Rich McLaughlin’s 29 th season and it is clear that this will be a season like no other. As fans of the Rams we will watch whatever way we can and support our team.

GO RAMS!!!

The Rams skaters must know that every team will be trying to upset the
reigning Public B State Champions, so this year our motto must be the
same as last year, but even more so:

STAY FOCUSED!!!

And this season let’s add: STAY SAFE!!!
