Public B Quarterfinals Set

The first round is now complete in the Public B tournament and here are the Quarterfinals:

Forget Beckham… Bend It Like JT

  • #1 Randolph v. #8 Southern on Monday 3/2 7:30pm at Aspen Ice Arena. If RAMS win they play winner of:
  • #4 Middletown South v. #12 Governor Livingston
  • #2 Westfield v. #10 West Essex (a West Derby) The winner will play the winner of:
  • #3 Ridge v. #6 Ridgewood (a Ridge Derby).

All Quarterfinal games are on Monday 3/2/2020.

Scouting Randolph’s opponent Southern:

  • Overall record is 11-9-1
  • They have played the following teams that Randolph has won against:
    • Rumson on 1/27: L 2-5.
    • Mendham on 1/31: L 4-0.
    • Roxbury on 2/16: W 6-1.
  • Southern’s top scorers are Chris Laureigh (25 goals – 15 assists), Zach Minafo (10-17) and Andre Irwin (9-10).
  • Their goaltender, sophomore Trey Mattern has 512 saves and has allowed 47 goals.

P.S. The Semi-Finals will be on Wednesday 3/4 at Codey Arena.
