State Semifinals

The New Jersey High School Ice Hockey Semifinals will be held on Wednesday and Thursday as follows:

Public B:

  • #1 seed Randolph v. #4 Middletown South: 3/4 @ 6:30pm Codey
  • #2 Westfield v. #3 Ridge: 3/4 @ 4:30pm Codey

Public A:

  • #1 Morris Knolls v. #5 Jackson Liberty: 3/4 @ 4:30pm Mennen
  • #2 Montclair v. #3 Hunterdon Central: 3/4 @ 6:30pm Mennen

Public C:

  • #1 Summit v. #5 Manasquan: 3/5 @4:30pm Mennen
  • #2 Lakeland v. #3 Ramsey: 3/5 @6:30pm Mennen

Non-Public:

  • #1 Christian Brothers v. #5 Gloucester Catholic: 3/4 @ 8:30pm Mennen
  • # 2 Don Bosco Prep v. #6 Seton Hall Prep: 3/5 @ 8:30pm Mennen

Finals: The winners of these 8 games will face each other at the Prudential Center in Newark (THE ROCK) this Monday 3/9/2020 at the following times:

  • Public C: 2:00 PM
  • Public A: 4:15 PM
  • Non-Public: 6:30 PM
  • Public B: 8:45 PM

Comments: Notice how accurately NJ.com has determined the seeding. For example, the top 4 teams have made it to the semifinals, and in Public A and C they only missed it by one seed 4 v. 5.

Mennen Division Teams:

  • #8 seed Morristown Beard lost to #1 Christian Brothers 3-1
  • #7 Chatham lost to #2 Lakeland 2-1 in the Quarterfinals

Madison and Morristown bowed out in the First Round. All 6 of the Mennen Division teams made the state tournament this year.

Aspen Teams:

  • Randolph and Morris Knolls are #1 seeds in Public B and A still playing
  • #4 Delbarton lost 4-3 in OT to #5 Gloucester last night at Aspen
